First Steps
Run along the sandy passage and to the left. Here you could find the first audio commentary crystal, if you've activated them. Climb down into the chamber.Two crumbling Pillars
Face the pedestal in the right corner. Use the grapple to pull down the stone block on top. Then do the same on the left side. Once they have tumbled down, you can continue, as the path has been cleared. However first there is something to collect.Find:
Pull out the movable crate at the start on the left. Climb behind and collect the Shotgun Ammo and the Small Medipack. Return to the main chamber.
Passage to the Chamber by the Sphinxes
Run to the end of the passage and jump up. Lara will hold on to a ledge that will be pulled down. Jump up quickly to reach the passage above. Follow it to the left. Slide down the slope and jump towards the horizontal bar. Swing towards the next lever-like mechanism. Again jump up to reach the passage above. Follow the passage to the right till you slide down the next slope.Chamber with Puma
In the right corner is a lurking puma which will attack you. Kill it. Then collect the Shotgun Ammo in the left corner. Now jump up to the big opening leading to a yard with two sphinx statues. Pull up.Find:
Turn to the crevice in the left wall. Shimmy around the corner to the left. From there jump to the next crevice. Pull up into the narrow gap and sneak over to the left. Stand up at the end and jump up to the next crevice. Climb around to the left till you reach the walkway. Pull up and collect the Large Medipack. Return to the opening leading down to the yard with the sphinxes.
Yard with Sphinxes
Slide down into the yard and fight the two cat mummies. Then examine the yard. When you examine the monolith you will find that it has four empty receptacles.Finds:
Where you came down, you can collect some 50 Caliber Pistol Ammo. Jump into the pool. On the left, between the stone walls you can find a Small Medipack. Note the fish in the pool. It might show you the way. Behind the pillar right of the sphinx standing in the shadow you can find another Small Medipack.
On the side of the sunlit sphinx, next to the pillar in the left corner, you can find some Shotgun Ammo.
Above the Yard with two Sphinxes
Turn left and jump towards the walkway. Grab the ledge and pull up. Shoot at the button on the right wall to extend a horizontal bar between this and the next walkway. Jump towards the pole and swing to the next part. Collect the 50 Caliber Pistol Ammo from the ground. Then run to the end and there turn left. Jump onto the top of the column. Next jump onto the top of the lower column further ahead. Face the head of the sphinx and jump towards the ladder on the right side of it. Climb up to the top. There jump over to the right to land on the Sphinx' head.Secret (Artifact):
Pull up into the alcove above. There run into the right corner and climb through the opening. In the chamber you can pick up the next Artifact. Return outside and get back onto the Sphinx' head.
Find:
Turn around and roll through the opening in the left part of the slope. Collect the Large Medipack here and roll back to the other side.
Entering the next Chamber
Run to the other end and use the slope there to get back down. Step through into the opened passage. Follow the passage around the bends, first left, then right, then right again and left once more.The Six Moving Statues - Lower Level
You come out into a chamber with six seated Pharao statues. Turn right. At the other end you will spot two pumas. Kill them. Then run over to the opened niche where they came from. Use the lever on the wall left of it. The Pharao statues move closer into the passage for a limited time.Find:
Let the first round go to waste and simply run back to the other side. - On the way note that there is a rock behind the last statue on the left. - The two gates on the other end have now opened. Shoot the two pumas coming out through these gates. Then enter the right chamber and collect the Small Medipack there. The other chamber is empty. Run back to the lever and use it again.
Reaching the Yard with Pool and Cat Statue
Follow the passage around the left bend. At the end, slide down. Kill the three rats. Then pick up the Small Medipack at the end. After that, return to where you came down and pull out the crate from the right. Collect another Small Medipack from behind and then move the crate further along to the rubble at the end. Climb onto the crate and climb up into the next passage. Turn right and slide down into the trench. Collect the Shotgun Ammo, then return to the start of the trench. Jump up to the gap in the left wall - face to the back of the pit - and again to the upper gap. Shimmy to the left and jump straight up once the horizontal bar above is extended. You may simply jump here from above if you don't want to collect the ammo. Quickly swing to the second horizontal bar. From there jump to the moving ledge at the end and quickly jump up. In case you miss but the ledge is down, you might have success by jumping up on it when it moved up a bit and then jump up again. Pull up. Here you will find a commentary crystal when you have them activated. Run to the end of the passage.The Pool by the Cat Statue
Drop down into the next yard. Kill the crocodile coming out of the passage below the entrance. Then run into the passage and collect the Small Medipack there. Then explore the rest of the yard. On the left side of the pool you will meet a second crocodile. Jump into the pool. Dive down into the passage and use the lever at the wall. This is timed. Quickly dive through the open gate to the left, into the next chamber. Dive up and climb out onto the walkway.Water Chamber (1)
Advance to the wall with the moving ledge. Jump up to it and jump again immediately to reach the ledge above. Shimmy to the right end. The next bit is a bit tricky as the walkways above will retract when you step on them. Jump right, towards the walkway and quickly pull up. Run forward and then out onto the right outcrop. From there quickly jump over to the other side. Pull up onto the walkway. Jump up at the end, towards the ledge in the wall. Shimmy to the left end and jump over to the next ledge. Wait till all ledges below are back in place, then drop down, turn around and run along the wall without the ledges. At the end jump towards the moving ledge and quickly jump up to the ledge above. Shimmy to the right end and jump over to the entrance. Pull up. Run up the stairs. Pick up the Small Medipack below on the right. Then get over to the left side and climb up the pillar there. Turn your back to the wall with the ledges. Jump to the moving ledge first and immediately up to the ledge above. Jump up again to reach the top ledge. Jump backwards onto the top of the pillar you just climbed. Jump to the alcove on the left. Collect the 50 Caliber Pistol Ammo and then flip the lever on the wall. A ledge in the previous room is retracted and a movable crate is dropped to the one below. Luckily it will damage the retraction mechanism of these lower platforms. Jump to the pillar on the left. Turn around to jump backwards into the window on the opposite side. Collect the 50 Caliber Pistol Ammo and the Large Medipack there. Then lower yourself down. Get out through the opening again.Water Chamber (2)
Jump down to the platform with the movable crate. Pull it along the narrow walkway to the other side and push it underneath the u-shaped platform. There push it over to the right side. Mount it. Then jump towards the ledge in the wall there. Jump up to the ledge above. Then jump backwards to the U-shaped platform. Run a few steps over the first bit while the platform is retracted, then jump towards the second bit. While you're in the air, the platform extends again and you have enough space to land on the back part. Jump to the moving ledge on the same wall. Quickly jump up to the ledge above. Quickly jump over to the right where another moving ledge is. Jump straight up again to the regular ledge above. Shimmy to the left end and jump to the next ledge. There jump to the horizontal bar behind your back. Swing to the window. Pull up. Turn around and you will see a grapple spot on the ceiling. On the other side is a gate with another spot where you can attach the grapple to at the top. Do so and pull it down quickly while standing approximately in the middle of the platform. The gate lowers. Immediately jump ahead and use the grapple to swing to the other side. If in doubt, you may want to take a look at the Video. Use the lever in this chamber. The gate opens again, so does the hatch on the ceiling outside.Above the Water Chamber
Step out onto the drawbridge again. Face the opened hatch. Jump to the right part of the hatch and Lara will hold on to it. Jump up to the crevice above. Jump towards the horizontal bar at your back. Swing over to the other side and grab the ledge there. Jump up and pull out of the opening. Use the lever on the left side of the opening. The hatch around the cat statue in the yard is opened. Step out into the opening.Above the Yard with the Cat Statue
Secret (Artifact):
Turn left and jump towards the grapple spot there. Use the grapple to run along the wall. Jump to reach the ledge. Jump away from the wall and throw out the grapple to hold on to the hook on the ceiling. Turn towards the roof above the cat statue. Just left of it are two grappling points that will get you to the roof. Collect the Artifact there.
Below the Cat Statue
Collect the 50 Caliber Pistol Ammo on the left and on the right. Then climb down one step. Take out the puma below from up here if possible. Then slide down into the chamber. Three more pumas appear.Chamber with Pumas
Now go into the left passage to collect a Large Medipack. On the right side is a closed door with two pumas behind it. Unfortunately you need it open, so flip the lever next to it and kill the two pumas quickly. Then go to the left side of the door and hang from the lowest ledge. Jump up to the one above and from there jump over to the right, to the door. Here quickly jump backwards to the ledge of the column in the middle. Jump up to the ledge above and from there to the handle on the right. It will swing around. When it's against the wall, shimmy left and from there jump back to the ledges left of the door. This time you can reach the third one. Jump up to the fourth and then backwards onto the platform above the column in the middle.Find:
Turn left and shoot the button in the wall on the left, in an alcove with items. A grapple spot will appear overhead. Use it to swing to the alcove with the items. Collect the Large Medipack on the ground and the 50 Caliber Pistol Ammo up on the left. Use the grapple to get back to the other side.
Scarab Mechanism (1)
Enter the next chamber and kill the puma. In the right corner is a closed hatch on the ceiling and below is an entrance you cannot reach. Climb trough the opening on the left instead to reach a little chamber. Climb up the ladder on the right side. In the next yard you need to kill a cat mummy. Note the thin pillars and the scarab mechanism at the wall, which seems to be inoperative. On the steps leading up to the wall with the fence, you can collect 50 Caliber Pistol Ammo and a Large Medipack. Next step through the next opening and run to the ladder on the left side. Climb it up.The Six Moving Statues - Upper Level (1)
Run ahead. Down on the left you can see the six moving statues again. Run to the lever ahead and use it. This next part is timed, so you need to hurry a bit. - If you need a bit more time, let the statues retract a bit and then immediately flip the lever again, you can then start before they are even fully extended. Run towards the edge and jump onto the roof of the first statue on the right. - It is the first to retract again. - From there jump over to the first statue on the left, as the second on the right cannot be reached from here. Continue onto the second statue on the left. Ahead the path is blocked, so jump to the second statue on the right. From there jump on to the third statue on the right and then to the safe ground on the other end. Pull up. Run to the left and collect the Large Medipack there. Then run into the next passage. You are now behind the fence in the chamber with the Scarab Mechanism. Flip the wall lever at the end of the passage and some bolts securing the scarab are retracted. Further, the six statues are moved to the middle permanently.The Six Moving Statues - Upper Level (2)
Run back to the edge above the six statues. Jump onto the first on the left. Jump on to the second on the left, then over to the second on the right, further to the third on the right and then over to the last on the left. Jump back to the other side and run back into the passage on the right.Scarab Mechanism (2)
Climb the ladder back down. Return to the chamber with the scarab mechanism and run to the other side. Run over to the stone steps on the right where you found the goodies just a moment ago. Step onto the highest spot and from there jump to the left - along the fence. Throw out the grapple to wall-run along. Stop the wall-run and simply hang from the rope in the middle of the wall. Climb up a bit, till you can jump backwards onto the top of the middle pillar, when Lara places her feet against the rim below the fence. Jump onto the top of the smallest pillar.Secret (Artifact):
Turn left and jump towards the ledge of the high pillar. Let go to grab the lower ledge and shimmy around to the right. There jump backwards to the ledge on the second tall pillar. Shimmy around to the right. From there jump sideways to the ledge on the third pillar. Jump up to the upper ledge here and shimmy around to the right. At the back, jump back to the previous pillar. And from there jump backwards to the crevice in the wall. From the right end jump and use the grapple to run along this part of the wall. Jump over to the top of the doorway. Collect the Artifact here. Then lower yourself down again and use the rope on the wall with the fence to get onto the lowest pillar again.
Up the Hill
Let go of the bar attached to the scarab and get to the opened hatch. Hang from the edge and let go once to grab the crevice below. Let go again to reach the next crevice and then drop to the ground. You are now on top of the sand hill and can now reach the next passage from here. Run along the passage and to the left.The Column Riddle
You come to a room with four obelisks that seem to be lowered into the ground. Your first task it to raise them, and your second to turn them and open the gate. All around the room are movable crates blocking entrances. Let's start with the first one on the left and from there work your way around in a circle.Find:
Pull out the first crate on the left. In the chamber behind you will find 50 Caliber Pistol Ammo. Collect it and return outside.
Find:
Pull out the third crate on the left. Step into the chamber behind to find more 50 Caliber Pistol Ammo. Return outside.
Find:
Pull out the remaining crate and collect the Shotgun Ammo in the chamber behind.
Secret (Relic):
Now that all four obelisks have been raised, you can collect the next secret. Run to the pulled out crate right of the closed gate. If you did not pull it out to the left side of the opening, position it there now and mount it. From there jump up to the crevice in the wall above. Jump up to the crevice above and shimmy around the corner to the right. Over on the other side you can jump backwards to the crevice in the wall. Shimmy right and jump to the next column. Shimmy around to the right. Jump up to the crevice above. There jump backwards onto the top of the first obelisk. Jump over to the second, the third and the fourth. From there jump to the crevice in the column left of the entrance. Shimmy around the corner, there drop down to the crevice below. Shimmy right to the entrance. Pull inside. Collect the Large Medipack and the Mummified Cat. Then lower yourself back into the main chamber.
Now it's time to enter the combination.
Begin with the column on the left, the one with the rope. Turn it clockwise once to place the figure holding a smaller figure at the front. You will feel it stop slightly when you have reached the correct position, also look at the markings above the column and align them. Then advance to the second column with the flamingo and turn it counter-clockwise once to place the figure with jar and staff at the front. The third one is already in position (reed and figure holding the jar), so advance to the fourth. Turn it twice, 180 degrees, to bring the figure with the two jar-stands to the front.
The big gate opens. Step through into the next level.
