Exclusive Shots of Underworld in Playstation Magazine UK

08.06.2008 von Catracoth

Four exclusive shots of the upcoming game, Tomb Raider Underworld have surfaced on Official Playstation Magazine UK. As always, if you shan't want the surprises spoiled until game release, it's best to avoid the pictures. One shows Lara underwater aiming her pistols at a great white, another next to the Krakan, one of Lara leaping to a ledge in a temple, and another underwater screen.

Details state, "Pistols, spear gun, or sticky grenades will keep great whites at bay, and there's even a new tranq gun to send the psycho kipper to sleep instead."

Regarding the temple screen, "Burning torches help Lara pick her way through the ruins - luckily the temple hasn't been entirely flooded."

There's not a definite source available, but a member on N4G forums has posted image scans from the magazine. Although there's nothing direct from OPS, the scans are clear enough to whet your appetite.

New Underworld Screenshot released

Eidos released a stunning new screenshot today, showing a previously unseen location. If you want to keep all surprises for when you are playing Tomb Raider Underworld it would be wise not to look at the screenshot now or even to read on.

The screenshots shows a red-brownish cave-like area with a giant kraken sitting in a water hole. You can also spot a horizontal swing bar and several other spots you will likely be climbing this winter, and also something that might be used to fight the kraken if it becomes necessary.

Community fooled by old "news": Lara's involvement in a police raid

30.05.2008 von tombraidergirl

Several online gaming magazines fell for an old news article titled "Armed police raid home after mistaking Lara Croft dummy for gunman", when, during the last days, they wrote about an incident that allegedly happened a few days ago in England. The original article, which featured the same story, was first published by the Daily Mail on May 15th 2007. It is likely that someone missed that the year was 2007.

In this article daily mail reported that the 42-year-old owner of a game shop, David Williams, had taken home a life-size model of our heroine Lara Croft to sell her in an online auction. He had phoned the police after getting nuisance phone calls. When the officers arrived at his home, they saw the silhouette of an armed person and stormed his house.
